Get Ready For It

If you dream of playing golf in your underwear, here’s your chance.

Treetop Adventure Golf will be opening a new site in Glasgow in December and is looking for applicants to fill 60 roles at its new site on Renfrew Street.

The company also has a course at Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre in Edinburgh and operates two other venues – in Manchester and Nottingham.

“Our adventure golf courses offer a great day or night out for families, friends, couples and groups,” says their website. “And we’re open every day.”

It adds: “We’re passionate about our food and drink so you can enjoy a fantastic range of drinks and tasty food from our menu… And if you’re looking for somewhere to hold your work or birthday party, or even just a quick get together with friends, why not book one of our private hire areas.”

There are several jobs up for grabs at Treetop Adventure Golf including bar staff, kitchen staff, waiting staff, golf hosts and security guards.

We have received many requests over the past few years for an underwear round. After much deliberation we have decided to host a round of golf in our underpants.

Join us on Saturday 21st October at 12:00 and play 9 holes of Adventure Golf in your underpants. All profits from this event will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

There is no entry fee, simply make a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support. There will be a limited edition certificate for all entrants and the highest scorer on each course will win a free game voucher.

One of the most bizarre sights in golf is being played out at a course in the North East this week as golfers take to the tee in their underwear.

The tournament is part of a charity fund-raising event for Cancer Research UK and is held on an 18-hole course made entirely from Astroturf on top of the MetroCentre shopping centre in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

In the past, tournaments have been held at night but organisers have decided this year to hold it during the day, giving shoppers an eyeful as they pass by.

Adam Davidson, marketing manager for Treetop Adventure Golf, said: “We’ve had some very interesting characters playing over the years and there’s no doubt it attracts a lot of attention – both on and off the course.”

Hence the birth of “playing golf in your underwear,” a new trend that may or may not be sweeping the nation, depending on how many people are willing to admit it.

The idea is simple: Play golf with your buddies, and if you lose a hole or a match, you have to take off an item of clothing. After you remove all of your clothes, you play on — hence the term “playing golf in your underwear.”

The phenomenon can be traced back to a group of guys from Washington D.C., who got bored playing golf while drinking beer and started losing their clothes whenever they lost a hole. That was over a decade ago. Now, they’re still playing this game and calling themselves the Undie Golf Club. Their website says they are “the most selective and elite social club in the world.”

They even created rules for losing clothes (ladies’ rules are slightly different), which read like this:

–Take off 1 article of clothing each time you lose a hole.*

–Take off 2 articles of clothing each time you lose a match.*

–Lose all clothing after 5 holes.*

–No going back (you can’t put any article of clothing back on once it’s off).*

–If you

Golf is played in all kinds of weather and in all kinds of conditions, but the only golf I’ve ever played where the attire was optional was at Treetop Adventure Golf at Cribbs Causeway near Bristol.

This is a new venue and comprises two 18-hole indoor tropical adventure golf courses, each with its own distinct theme. The first course is designed to replicate the lush landscapes of the rainforest and is called ‘Lost Temple’; the second has been inspired by the lost world of Atlantis and is called ‘Crystal Cave’. Both are challenging, with plenty of water hazards and well-placed rocks. They are also very pretty; the courses are lined with ferns, exotic plants, caves, waterfalls and plenty of other jungle-like features.

The course was incredibly busy when we went at 10am on a Sunday morning – so it’s worth booking ahead if you can. We were lucky to get a slot straight away but had to wait around 15 minutes before playing. If you don’t want to queue, you can book online in advance for a 20% discount on a normal game rate.

You need to wear flat shoes to play on the course (golf shoes aren’t allowed), which doesn’t leave much room for fashion choices!

If you’ve ever been to the beach, you know that the best part is making sand castles. You take a bucket and fill it with water and drag it to your castle site. Then you put your hand in the bucket of water, scoop some out, and pour it on the sand. Repeat. And then repeat again.

What I didn’t understand when I was little was that this is also the only way to play golf. Most golf courses are too far from a body of water for you to use the ocean, but if you’re willing to go elsewhere for your bucket of water, you can create a golf course anywhere there’s enough sand.

Treetop Adventure Golf in Cardiff is built around two miniature-golf courses: an indoor rainforest and an outdoor jungle, both with a “wild” theme that includes lush foliage, dramatic rockwork, and animatronic animals. The only difference is that indoors there’s no wind or sun or rain or alligators to distract you from your game. If there’s one thing that improves golf, it’s not having any distractions at all.

Golf is a sport that has been around for centuries. It is played by the young and old alike and is an excellent way to get some exercise and have fun at the same time. Many people enjoy golf, and they will take their golf clubs wherever they go in order to enjoy the game. While most people simply play as a hobby, there are others who take the game seriously and actually compete in golf tournaments.

Golf is also a great way to meet new people. The game of golf requires you to use your body in ways that you would never think possible. You will be able to move quickly, have good hand eye coordination, have a good mind for numbers, and have excellent concentration while playing this game. Because of all of these requirements, it is not uncommon for many people who play golf on a regular basis to become friends with other players that they meet on the course.

Golf is also a great way to stay fit. If you are looking for an activity that can help you shed some pounds and get into better shape, then this may be just what you need. There are many different types of workout routines that can help you lose weight if you choose to play golf on a regular basis. If you are looking for an activity that can help
