Ways to Improve Your Game Four Golf Clinic Tips

As you know, golf is a game that requires skill and precision. You need to have the ability to hit the ball with accuracy and power so it travels the farthest distance possible.

At one point in your golf life you probably tried to improve your swing on your own, but it was not successful. You may have even thought about hiring a professional trainer, but never followed through because of the money it would cost.

If this sounds familiar, consider taking a golf clinic. Not only are they less expensive than a private trainer, but they can be just as effective as well as educational and fun!

There are many different types of clinics out there. Here are four types of clinics that will improve your game:

Great golfers aren’t born, they’re made. It takes years of practice and patience to master the skills necessary to play a good round of golf. Here are four simple tips that can help you improve your game:

1. Get a good set of golf clubs. This is essential to improving your game. If you don’t have a great set of clubs, you are much more likely to make mistakes on the green. Practicing with a lesser set of clubs will not help you improve; it’ll just make you frustrated and less likely to want to go out on the links again.

2. Get professional lessons. A lot of players think they can just go out and play without having any formal training, but this is not the case. Golfing is much more difficult than it looks like; if you don’t learn from someone who knows what they’re doing, you’re setting yourself up for failure. Even one lesson from a pro will help you tremendously when you’re on the course by yourself.

3. Practice, practice, practice! The only way to get better at anything is to practice as often as possible; the same goes for golf. If you want to be able to make shots like Tiger Woods, you need to spend hours on the course each

We’re here at the Rock Hollow Golf Club for a golf clinic. I’m here with Mark, who’s going to show you some different tips on how to improve your game.

The first thing we’re going to talk about is the grip. Now, there’s two different grips that you can use. There’s the overlapping grip, which a lot of people use, and then there’s the interlocking grip. Now, an interlocking grip is a little bit stronger, so if you’ve got smaller hands, you might want to go with that one. And then you also have the option of choking up on the club like this. The farther down in your hand that it rests, the more power you’re going to get out of it.

Mark: So, if I was hitting it short I would choke up on it?

No matter what kind of club or shot you’re taking, the left arm needs to stay connected to the body throughout. If it gets disconnected — like this — then your accuracy is going to suffer tremendously.

As a golf player, your goal is to improve your game. This article gives you four tips that can help you improve your golf game. Remember, don’t try to change what you are doing in one day. It will take time and practice to improve your game.

Tip

A. You must have the ability to learn quickly. To improve your game, you must be able to receive new information and put it into play right away. There are many areas of the game that will constantly be changing, so you must be willing to adapt and learn new ways of playing.

B. Keep your head still. Have you ever watched a professional golfer swing on tv? They keep their head down and still and watch the ball go up in the air. This is important for you to do as well since it will help you hit straighter shots.

C. Be comfortable with clubs in your hand. The more comfortable and relaxed you are when holding a club, the better you will feel when swinging the club over the ball at impact

D. Always stretch your muscles before playing a round of golf or hitting balls at the range. It will help loosen up your body and prepare it for a good swing

A golf swing is a complex motion. There are many different variables that go into the execution of a good swing. The more variables you have, the harder it becomes to make consistent swings. This is why I always put a premium on simplicity in my instruction. In this article I will outline four simple keys for successful ball striking and give some drills that can help you ingrain these concepts.

1. Maintain your spine angle throughout the swing

2. Keep your head behind the ball at impact

3. Don’t let your hands get too far ahead of the clubhead through impact

4. Make sure you return the club to its original address position after impact
