Before we can answer that question, we need to look at the history of the golf industry. The game of golf has been around for many years. It started as a way for Scotsmen to pass the time. They played at night by candlelight and on Sundays when they couldn’t do any work.

It wasn’t until after World War I that the game began to grow in popularity. This was due to the introduction of more advanced equipment and lighting. The first electric lights were installed on golf courses in 1921. This allowed players to play at night and on Sundays without worrying about darkness or work stoppages.

The first modern mini-golf course was built in 1930 by Tom Thumb Golf Corporation in North Carolina. It cost $25,000 and had 18 holes with two greens per hole. This course included several obstacles such as trees and sand traps. The next year another course opened up in New Jersey called “Adventure Golf.”

To make things even more interesting there is a theme throughout the room which can be anything from being locked in a prison cell to being stranded on an island.

Escape rooms first began appearing in Asia in 2007 but it wasn’t until 2011 that the first Escape Room opened in America. Escape games were actually known before this as “Real Life Room Escape” but this was only common in Japan, China and South Korea.

The popularity of escape rooms grew quickly and spread across the world where now there are over 2,500 escape rooms worldwide with around 30% of these located in America.

With the growing popularity of escape rooms, themes became more extreme and elaborate as companies competed to out do each other.
