So, you are looking for the top golf courses near Chicago. I have created a list of the top five golf courses in the area along with a brief description of each and a video to give you an idea of the course.
The first on my list is Olympia Fields Country Club which is located in Olympia Fields, Illinois. This is one of the premier golf courses in the nation and has hosted 5 major championships. The North Course is ranked as number 7 on Golf Digest’s 100 Greatest Public Courses. The South Course is also ranked by Golf Digest as number 34 on their greatest public courses list. 1. Medinah Country Club: This course has hosted the Ryder Cup and PGA Championship multiple times. It is located 30 miles from downtown Chicago and its tree-lined fairways make this course a challenge for all players.
2. Conway Farms Golf Club: This private club is located in Lake Forest, Illinois and was designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore in 1991. The course is 7,200 yards long, par 72 and features five sets of tees. It has been rated one of the best golf courses in Illinois by Golf Digest Magazine since it first opened.
