In this article series, we will take a look at the four most common putting strokes and how to make them effective. I believe that every golfer should have at least two different putting strokes in their tool box. These can be used as needed depending on the green speed, slope or distance of your putt.

The first type of putt is the straight back and straight through stroke. This is the most common style used by professional golfers and the one that most amateurs are trying to emulate. It is not my favorite though due to the fact that there is very little room for error using this stroke.

The key to this stroke is to keep your hands as quiet as possible while making a smooth pendulum like movement with your arms. If you have any amount of wrist action going on then you will find it impossible to hit a straight putt consistently.

To get started, just hold your club at waist height and putt without taking a practice swing!

Make sure that your hands are in front of your body (as opposed to behind) because if they are behind you then it will be very hard for you to control where the ball starts off line due to their influence on rotation from side-to-side during impact with this stance/set up

Unbeknownst to many, the Meadows Golf Course offers a unique golfing experience in the heart of Silicon Valley. Located just off of Highway 101 on Embarcadero Road in Palo Alto, CA, the Meadows Golf Course is one of the oldest public golf courses in the Bay Area.

The Meadows offers an 18-hole Championship Course and a 9-hole Executive Course for those who may not have time for 18. Both courses are open 7 days a week from 8:00am to 5:00pm (last tee time at 3:30pm). The Championship Course has been around since 1930 when it was built by Sam Whiting, who also designed San Francisco’s famed Olympic Club. In 1959 William P. Bell redesigned and renovated the course, which remains largely unchanged today. The Executive Course opened slightly later in 1968 and remains largely unchanged as well, offering a great golfing experience for all levels of play.

Both courses are kept in beautiful condition year round, with rolling fairways and greens that are always challenging and fun to play on. The Executive Course provides players with an introductory course that is ideal for beginners or those looking to brush up on their short game. There is also a driving range on site that is open from 8am to 10pm 7
