I am a golf course owner, manager and designer of golf courses. If I had to make a list of the ten most important things people want when they play on a golf course, it would be:
1. Well manicured greens that are cut to the right speed.
2. A well manicured fairway with an adequate amount of grass and no bare spots.
3. We want to play on a well manicured course, with great facilities and a passionate caddy master.
4. Each hole should be a challenge, but not unfair or impossible to play.
5. The course should be easy to walk, without steep hills or long distances between tee boxes and greens.
6. The layout of the holes should be pleasing to look at from each tee box and green, with no ugly views or blind shots (if possible).
7. There should be plenty of places for players to sit down for a rest between shots, especially on hot days or after many holes have been played in a row without stopping.
8. The clubhouse should have food available during tournaments so players can get some refreshment before heading back out onto the course again (if possible).

Our Course
The 18-hole Wildwood Golf Club in Wildwood, MO is a public golf course that opened in 1998. Designed by Ken Killian and Dick Nugent, Wildwood Golf Club measures 7338 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 136 and a 75.1 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bent grass.

Wildwood Golf Course has been owned and operated by the Tamblyn family for over 30 years. This family owned and operated course was bought by the current owner from his father in 1994. The 18 hole course is 5,500 yards long, with six par 4’s, five par 3’s and seven par 5’s. The course is situated on some of the most scenic countryside in east central Minnesota.
The front nine is known for its challenging and tricky greens, while the back nine is more rolling with an abundance of trees that come into play on many holes. Hole eleven has a green nestled between two hills with a creek running through it, making this hole very demanding. The back nine also features many elevated tees that overlook the fairways below, giving you a sense of how beautiful this course really is.
The Proshop at Wildwood offers all your golfing needs; clubs, bags, carts, balls and apparel such as shirts, outerwear and shoes. We also offer custom club fitting to make sure you have the right equipment to improve your game.
The Wildwood Golf Club is the most challenging and beautiful course in the Pacific Northwest.
The course is a par 72, plays at 7,138 yards from the tips and is rated 73.3/138. The course was designed by famed architect Bob Cupp and opened in 2003. The course has been recognized as one of America’s Top 100 Courses You Can Play by Golf Magazine, as well as being ranked in the top five courses in Oregon by a number of other publications.
Our practice facilities include a full-length driving range, chipping green with sand trap, pitching green and putting green.
