I played Balboa on a Saturday afternoon in mid-December. I walked on without a tee time and got out right away as a single but there were foursomes stacked up behind me so get there early if you want to walk on during peak times on weekends.

The course layout at Balboa is very good for walking and had minimal waits between holes even as a single playing behind foursomes. The first hole starts out with an easy par 4 that is almost straight out from the clubhouse so if you have been practicing your driver, you can hit it hard here. From there the course winds back and forth through the neighborhood with plenty of tree lined fairways except for

This nine hole par 70 course has a length of 5,943 yards and has a rating of 67.2 with a slope of 113. Balboa’s golf course can be challenging for any skill level of golfer. The Balboa Golf Club is a public 18-hole public golf course located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. It’s part of the Balboa Sports Center, which includes tennis courts, basketball courts, and more.

It was first opened in 1960 and then redesigned by Ted Robinson in 1981. It’s open to the general public, but it also offers special memberships that include discounts on green fees, merchandise, and food.

One of its main features is that it offers a complete practice facility with a driving range and chipping green for golfers who want to improve their game or warm up before going out on the course.

It has holes that are great for beginners as well as challenging ones for seasoned golfers. The par score for each hole is 72. The course is 6,700 yards long and has a slope rating of 116. It also includes water hazards on a few holes.

At first glance, you would think that Balboa Golf Course is a nine-hole municipal course in Encino. The golf course is located just off Burbank Boulevard and once you get inside the gates of the golf course, you are transported back to an era when the course was built in 1957. The clubhouse has old carpeting and wallpaper and it looks like a 1950’s diner. However, once you step onto the first tee at Balboa Golf Course, you forget about the retro feel of the clubhouse.

The golf course itself is a nearly flat layout that measures 6,080 yards from the tips. The fairways are tree lined throughout the entire golf course which makes it very challenging if your driver is not on target. There are a few holes with doglegs but most of them are straightaways.

There are several bunkers along each hole at Balboa Golf Course but they are only in play if you miss your target or drive too far down the fairway. The greens at Balboa Golf Course were in excellent condition during our round and they were all medium sized with some undulation to them.

If you are looking for an affordable place to play golf in Los Angeles, I would highly recommend playing 18 holes at Balboa Golf Course for as little as
