The Inland Empire is an area of Southern California that is not typically known for its golfing. Since the early 1900’s, Riverside County has been known for producing oranges, lemons, and grapefruit. Today, Riverside is actually the largest producer of citrus in the world.

But did you know that Riverside also has some great courses? The best part is that they are a fraction of the cost of the courses in Orange County or Los Angeles.

We will be featuring various courses throughout Riverside County and posting tips on how to improve your game. If there is a specific course you would like us to feature, please let us know.

There are many golf courses in the Inland Empire, but only one is known as the “Jewel of the Inland Empire.” Located just East of Riverside, CA on the way to Palm Springs, General Old Golf Course has been family owned and operated for over 30 years.

General Old has everything a golfer could need:

– Gourmet snacks at the snack bar

– A driving range with automated ball retrieval system

– Four sets of tees for all skill levels

– A professional staff that can help you with all aspects of your game
