Golf clubs are an integral part of the game of golf. They are the tools that you use to hit the ball with, and they come in a variety of styles and types. In fact, there are many different kinds of golf clubs that are used by professional golfers on the PGA tour, as well as by weekend warriors who love to get out on the course and play a round.
If you go shopping for some new golf clubs, then you will quickly find that there is a wide range of choices available to you. Many different types of materials are used in making clubs, from steel to titanium to graphite, and each one has its own unique properties that affect how much it costs as well as how it feels when it is used. The composition of your clubheads can have a big impact on how far your ball travels when you hit it, as well as how much control you have over the ball while in flight.
Many different brands manufacture golf clubs these days, which can make buying a new set of clubs very challenging. It is not just about finding low prices or high quality; instead, you often have to look at many different factors before you can determine which one is right for your needs. For example, what type of shaft do you want
In the 2017 golf season, it is expected that there will be a rise in the number of golfers using hybrid golf clubs. The best hybrid club has been identified as being the Callaway XR OS Hybrid. The club was selected for having a wide head and large sweet spot. The low-placed center of gravity on the club enables golfers to make faster swings. It also gives the golfer more control over their shots, enabling them to keep the ball on their intended course.
The second best hybrid club is the TaylorMade M2. It has a high-quality CG which gives more control over shots. It also has a new sliding weight which enables golfers to customize each shot exactly as they want to.
The third spot goes to the Cobra King F6+. This club is meant for people who want straight, long shots without having to sacrifice accuracy or forgiveness. It has an adjustable CG which allows players to choose between draw or neutral bias and eight different loft settings so that they can fine tune their shots exactly how they want them.
I am not a golf professional and I have not played every single club on the market. I do however like to keep up with the latest clubs and technology so I can share it with my readers.
The new Callaway Epic Star driver is an interesting addition to the Callaway line of clubs. They are marketed as game improvement clubs and are aimed at those who struggle to get a consistent ball flight. I purchased one of these drivers from Dick’s Sporting Goods for around $300 dollars. This price will vary but you should have no problem finding it at or below retail price.
The first thing that struck me about this club was the overall weight of it. With many drivers now being in the 300 gram range, this driver felt like a feather in comparison. The stock shaft is also very light so you will feel like you can swing this club all day long.
The ball flight off this club is a high launch with low spin which is exactly what most beginner golfers need. If you struggle with slicing the ball or getting it airborne then give this club a shot!
Hitting the perfect golf shot is one of life’s great pleasures, but selecting the right clubs to do so can be tricky. At American Golf we have been helping golfers choose their clubs since 1978 and have a wealth of experience to help you get the right gear at the right price.
Your driver – your most powerful club – is typically used when teeing off on a par four or par five. Therefore it should be a club that allows you to hit the ball as far as possible.
A key component of your driver is the shaft, which determines how much power you can generate in your swing; the longer the shaft, the more potential power. Drivers typically come with either graphite or steel shafts, with graphite being lighter and allowing for faster swing speeds. However, steel shafts generally allow for more control over your shots.
To go along with this is a large ‘sweet spot’ in the centre of the face, designed to give more forgiveness on impact and provide a straighter flight even if you don’t make contact in exactly the right place. These factors combine to help ensure that your drives are long and straight every time.
