In the beginning, there was golf. And it was good. But then came the golf carts, and for some reason this was not so good. Those of us who like to walk the course have never quite understood why the advent of golf carts should have had anything to do with our enjoyment of the game. We enjoy walking, and we enjoy playing golf; so when we play golf, we walk.

Nowadays, however, many people see walking as an option rather than a requirement. The result is that almost all courses now set up two sets of tees–one for those who walk, one for those who ride–and the result is that almost all players now ride in carts. Golf, one of the world’s most popular sports, has millions of fans. This game is played by using a club to hit a ball into a series of holes on a course. The object is to complete each hole in as few strokes as possible. As one of the most popular sports in the world, golf is played and enjoyed by people of all ages and genders.

Golf courses can be found in almost every city throughout the world. Many countries have their own professional golf associations, such as the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) and the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). These associations organize tournaments and other events where professional golfers compete against each other for cash prizes or trophies. Players from across the globe compete in these tournaments, which are usually held at expensive resorts or country clubs that require membership fees from people who want to play there.

The two main types of golfing are recreational and competitive. Recreational golfers play for fun, while competitive golfers play to win cash prizes or trophies.
